What to expect during your visit
Blue Sky Animal Hospital in North Bay, ON, has a team of expert veterinary professionals to bring the best possible healthcare and service for you and your pet. We have a state-of-the-art veterinary facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient.
If you are a new client, please provide your pet’s medical history, including any recent behavioural changes or other details that
you think will be important. To book an appointment, please start by completing our New Client Form.
We recommend annual check-ups for your pet’s health and wellness. This includes a full physical exam where our care team will assess your pet from head to tail. This can include teeth and gum cleaning if needed.
24-hour notice is required for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling.

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Extreme emergency cases (i.e. an animal hit by a car) shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up-to-date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We request that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the building.
We understand that sometimes there are circumstances beyond your control, and you may have to cancel your appointment. We ask that you make an effort to cancel your appointment 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time. If you miss your appointment without giving 24 hours notice, there will be a missed appointment fee of $50 applied to your account.
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, cash and Interac.
Patient Arrival Policy
Please call when you are in the parking lot to let our receptionists know that you have arrived for your appointment. You will be asked to update your cell phone number and or email as we are working towards integrating the Pet Desk app for our reminders and will be contacting you by cell phone for the appointment.
For your convenience, we have a printable change of address form that you can fill out and bring with you to your appointment in the forms section of this website.
For your protection, and that of others, we request that you wear a mask and maintain a 6-foot distance from other clients in the parking lot or while the staff are trying to exchange patients for their appointments.
