Dr. Melissa Boyle, DVM

Dr Melissa Boyle graduated with distinction from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2008.  She spent the first 12 years of her career in Owen Sound before making North Bay her home in 2020.  She joined the team at Blue Sky Animal Hospital in 2024 as an associate veterinarian and medical director.  Dr Melissa loves dentistry and surgery of all types, and she offers extracapsular cruciate repair and medial luxating patella stabilisation. She is qualified to administer stem cell therapy.  She enjoys working with clients to help them prevent and treat diseases in their furry family members.

Which animal does Dr. Melissa most relate to?

In her words, “Chihuahua!  Now I know what you’re thinking… but hear me out!  I owned a chihuahua, Vivi, for 14 years until she passed.  She was my heart dog.  I truly believe that you can’t really understand the beauty of these tiny creatures unless you’ve owned one!  Chihuahua’s are fiercely loving, loyal, and protective of their family – that’s me to a T!”
